Spencer Fullerton Baird
Located at the Oak Hill Cemetery of Washington DC (3001 R Street) is Spencer Fullerton Baird. Spencer was a naturalist and also the Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution. He was also a famed novelist who published titles such as “Birds” 1858, “Mammals of North America” 1859 and “History of North America” 1875.
